“HAKUBA HITOTOKI-NO MORI” is pre-opened in the whole area around the lift station of 5-sen South on the elevation of 1,100 meters (It will be open officially in the Spring of 2022). It is a great view spot which gives amazing scapes of Hakuba Village, Hakuba Happo-one Ski Resort, glaciers in Karamatsu-zawa, and Kaerazu-no-ken in the west.

In this area, “CHAVATY HAKUBA” (Photo) is open as well and this is famous for the rich milk tea and fresh baked scone in Omotesando and Arashiyama in Kyoto. Sweet smells of scones were in the air when I got in the shop. After making orders and payments, you will have a number card and your requests in order.

The main menus are Tea Latte, Scone and Soft Served Ice Cream. If you would like to enjoy them at once, “TEA & SCONE SET” is recommended (JPY1,289) (Drink is changed to Bottled Iced Tea Latte with extra JPY165 in the photo). There are free tables, chairs and 2 tents in the west of the shop.

You can take the lift of 5-sen South (Left in Photo) to come from the summit area. In South Area (Right in Photo), the course for the mountain cart (JPY1,800 per way) and mountain bike is also open. This morning, the lift was open at 11:30 a.m. and CHAVATY HAKUBA had already a line of people at 0:00 p.m (Photo).
