We had a clear morning after the typhoon. It was very cold in this morning because of the radiative cooling and blowing a north wind. However, it was getting warmer thanks to the sunlight from 9:30 a.m.

The snow from 2 days ago to the last night made the peaks of Northern Alps and Ushiro-tateyama Mountains more white. The contrast with the blue sky was so beautiful. Almost all of the trees dropped their leaves already, but we could find the yellow leaves of Karamatsu.

Today was a weekday just before November, so Iwatake was not so crowded. However, some people who visited the summit area looked to be satisfied with the fine views.

Hakuba Iwatake MTB PARK was open at 10:00 a.m. later than the schedule because of the course maintenance. Although some parts of the course were very soft because of the rain, I saw experts running down to the bottom rapidly.

The autumn tints in the mountain foot were in the peak. By the way, Iwatake Gondola will be open on Nov. 11 (Sat) and 12 (Sun) and “Autumn Iwatake Thanks-giving Festival” will be held. On both of the days, there will be a mountain bike test-riding, MTB & Ski exhibition, and flea market.
