It has been fine summer days yesterday and today. There were only a few lilies in the south face of Summit Lily Garden, but the Hybrid Lilies in Beech Forest were in full bloom. They gave off the sweet scent in cool shades of trees.

In this year, the lilies in Beech Forest are taller than usual. Some of them bowed their large-sized flowers down. Especially, Yamayuri (Goldband Lily) native to Japan attracted attention of many people. By the way, just a half of lilies in Beech Forest were blooming still, so we can expect more beautiful views of lilies.

In the shades of trees, the temperature is 2 degrees lower than the outside of the forest. I hardly got sweaty today thanks to the cool air. More and more people went to Northern Alps View Deck and took photos of the great mountains.

In the north part of Sky Arc, Sukashiyuri was in its peak now. The upper lift-side part is the best for enjoy beautiful lilies. Those bright lilies made a good contrast with the panoramic view of Tsugaike and the blue sky.

Lily Market is open beside Gondola Mountain-foot Sta. Now, it is having a summer sale. A 3-pot set of blooming Companion Lily (Photo) is JPY3,000 (usually, JPY2,000/ 1 pot) and a 5-pot set of Malesco is JPY1,000 (usually, JPY500 / 1 pot). You can enjoy them in the next summer as well.
