The weather in the first weekend, today, was forecast to be “sunny partly cloudy” at first, and changed to “rainy partly cloudy”, but actually, we have a sunny day. It shows the instability of the weather in mountains. Sukashiyuri in Summit Lily Garden got in almost full bloom.

However…, the stems and leaves had damage because of the rain from late-June. Especially, the lilies in the south part looked to get serious damage, but those in the north part were much better and lively.

In Sky Arc, a workshop event, “My Soba Making Dojo”, is held and you can try to make soba by yourself. The fee is JPY2,700 for an adult and JPY2,000 for a child (including Gondola fee). A man from Matsumoto City said that this was the first time to make soba, but the staffs helped him kindly. You can have your soba with Tempura or fresh vegetables as well.

The sunlight was casting sometimes and it was a good day to walk around the garden with a comfortable temperature. It was also breezing occasionally, and we could spend a chilled-out time in the summit area.

The peak season of lilies had been over in Summit Lily Garden, but Hybrid Lilies were still blooming beautifully in Red Pine Forest. I was impressed by the light pink lilies, especially.
