It’s been a long time to have great weather. Kurobishi Rindo is accessible until Nov.4 (Sun) as Kitaone Kogen is open, although Happo Alpen Line and Kurobishi Line have already been closed. As I came to Happo One Nature Trail from the front of Cafeteria Kurobishi, I found everything was covered with snow.

I found over 30cm-snowdrift and snow ripple as we had snow with strong wind between Oct.29 (Mon) and Oct..31 (Wed). The snow was crunchy at first but turned powder-like as I went up. One of the climbers, who came from Ehime prefecture, told me that he was going to Mt.Karamatsu.

The spot just before Happo-ike Pond, where the snow was left even in summer, had about 35~40cm of snow. There was dry powder snow below the snow crust. When I stepped on, I sank in the snow up to my shin and got some snow into my climbing boots. As I faced the east, I found the top of Mt.Hiuch, Mt.Yake and Mt.Myoko was all white.

Happo-ike pond was frozen over. I found the line pattern over the pond, created with the snow brought by the wind. Meanwhile, there was no wind during the interview, and all was still and nice.

I enjoyed the autumn leaves at the foot, overlooking from Kitaone Kogen. It was really crowded and I found lots of cars from other prefectures in Sakka Parking and the parking beside Kitaone Kogen. Everyone was spending their own days, walking to the observatory, taking a footpath, having a meal or playing with soap bubbles.
