From today to June 29 (Fri), people living in Hakuba Village, Otari Village, Ikeda Town, Matsukawa Village and Itoigawa City can get Happo Alpen Line Round-trip ticket for free. And the forecast was sunny, so people were making line before start of the gondola.

Although the sunshine was strong, cool strong wind was blowing along the ridge continuously, so many people were wearing windbreaker. Toilet near No.2 Cairn has opened today! A staff said, “The upper part of boardwalk is closed because of the remaining snow but it might open on this weekend.”

Happo-ike Pond is in the thawing season right now. The snow is cracked large and snow in the water had turned emerald green in the sun. Furthermore, photo spot in the east of the pond has not opened yet.

The wind got stronger in near No.3 Cairn and I had to take care of cap not to be blown away by the wind. The peak of Yukiwarisou and Miyamaazumagiku have passed in around Happo-ike Pond where snow thawed early. Instead, Happo-usuyukisou and Takane-bara are started to bloom.

From the lower part of boardwalk to Shakujii Cairn, Nikkoukisuge and Urajiroyouraku are started to bloom. Meanwhile, fresh Yukiwarisou (in photo), Miyamaazumagiku and Kijimushiro are blooming in place where snow thawed late. And in Kamaike Marsh, Taniutsugi, Kobaikeisou and Watasuge are in bloom.
