It is sunny for 3 straight days from the opening day and clear blue sky spread without a cloud this morning. Some people were paragliding and riding the wind above our head. Only few people were waiting the gondola at 8:00 a.m. because June is off-season in HAKUBA VALLEY and it was a weekday.

The view of Ushiro-tateyama Mountain Range, such as Mt. Goryu, Mt. Kashimayari and Hakuba Sanzan were fantastic and many people were taking photos. The trail until No.2 Cairn was dry I could walk comfortably.

The snow near Happo Cairn got decreased from the day before yesterday. There were some muddy parts, but I could avoid them easily, so I walked without getting wet in the mud. And the remaining snow was firm and I could walk comfortably. Miyama-azumagiku and Kijimushiro were blooming beautifully from Happo-ike Sanso to No.2 Cairn.

The cool wind blew sometimes at around Happo-ike Pond and No.3 Cairn and it was very comfortable. Many snows were remained at the north-east side of Happo-ike Pond, but I could walk with sneakers without slipping.

I could find many pink flowers of Yukiwariso and yellow flowers of Kijimushiro around Happo-ike Pond. I could see the water surface at the west side of the pond but there were many snow at the east side, so thawing seems to be a little further ahead. The trail became started to crowd with tourists at around 10 a.m.
