Because of the high atmospheric pressure on Japan, it was nicely sunny. At 6:30 a.m, 80% of the parking area in Kurobishi was filled with cars (almost full at around 10:00 a.m.) and crowded with people like Obon season. I could see the sea of clouds during trekking the slope of Kurobishi.

After getting off Grat Quad which was open at 7:30 a.m, there were many people, such as photographers, trail runners, hikers from the summit of Mt. Karamatsu and so on. After that, more and more people came and made a line on the trails.

I could easily trek to Happo-ike Pond, thanks to the cool air. Under the clear sky, the surface of the water was reflecting the mountains. I heard people making a voice of surprise.

The clouds came from the south and covered Mt. Goryu and Mt. Kashimayari. However, there were many people around Happo-ike Pond and the trees were beautifully green, so it looked like that the summer is not still over.

The clouds in the south came up fast, while those in the north were stopped around the lower part, so we could see the peaks of Northern Alps for a long while. People who I met said, “There is a big gap between the views from lower and upper part even on the same day!” and “The view changes greatly as I look toward different direction!”
