Recently, Kitaone Kogen, where is located on the highland (Elv. 1,200) accessible by just 1 lift, Kitaone Quad Lift (Sakka Kitaone Quad Lift) from Sakka Parking Area (150 cars available, free) is getting much better for sightseeing and trekking. In the glittering green trees and plants, I will walk around here and report with Nina, a report model.

At the first, we went to Canopy Walk which is newly open this season. It is 10 minutes away from the summit station of Kitaone Quad Lift and we could enjoy the view same as birds from the bridge. It was very cool in the shades of beech trees and the breeze was comfortable.

In Nature Park (Photo), Matsumushisou, Kikyou, Misohagi and other flowers were blooming. Besides, there were playthings for families, such as mini pool and wooden big Othello. We can also play an alpine horn and a staff taught us how to make a sound.

After walking, we took the foot onsen which is open this summer as well. The temperature of the onsen (Hakuba Happo Onsen) is nicely warm and relaxed our foot. In the east slope of Kitaone Kogen, a view deck is newly built and it commands the panoramic view of Hakuba and the morning glow or sea of clouds in the morning.

Finally, we had a vinegar drink (Rose Hip + Cassis + Apple Vinegar) with soda (JPY350). We can choose from three flavors (The others are Blueberry + Black Vinegar, Lemon + Ginger + Apple Vinegar) and three ways to drink (Soda, Milk, Water). Besides, you can enjoy “Home-made Yogurt (JPY350)” and “Soft Cream (JPY350)” made from the fresh milk of Happo Farm.
