I was very surprised because it was sunny morning though typhoon No.5 is coming. The fresh wind was blowing and the sky was covered with thin cloud, so it was cool and I could climb the Ridge Trail comfortably. As I turn back I saw the clouds was moving dynamically in the east.

High summer to early autumn flowers like Shimotsukesou, Oyamasoba, Happo-waremokou, Hakusanshajin, Takanematsumushisou were blooming along the trail. There were many white flowers like Takaneibuki-bouhu (photo), Hakusan-bouhu and Miyama-uikyo near Cairn No.3.

At last we had the view of Happo-ike Pond and Hakuba Sanzan! But the wind was blowing and water surface had not become mirror-like.

Most people were climbing to Mt. Karamatsu after taking short break at Happo-ike Pond. The ridges of Northern Alps were covered with clouds within 10 minutes (about 8:10 a.m.)

After 8:30 a.m., Happo Nature Trail was crowded with families and lightly dressed people. A guide of Ochikura Backcoutry Field said with smile, “It is sunny now finally and a good day for guiding from early morning.”
