We feel the 1 week from June 29 (Thu) was so long, because of the heavy rain which had been falling from June 30 (Fri) to yesterday. This morning, although the sky was overcast, we had the soft sunlight and all lines of Happo, such as Alpen Line, Kurobishi Line, Sky Line, V Line were open again.

In Happo Nature Trail, the number of alpine flowers are greatly increasing. Especially, I often found Iwashimotsuke (Photo), Ibukijakousou, Mushitori Sumire, Hananigana on the trail. Besides, Nikkokisuge were blooming in many places of Ridge Trail.

The sunlight got blocked off by the clouds at around 9:00 a.m, but the mountains of Northern Alps showed their peaks between the breaks of clouds sometimes. Some parts of the trails were muddy and wet because of the rain, but they were not so damaged and the temperature did not get high, so we could enjoy trekking comfortably.

The snow cap which covered 80% of Happo-ike Pond last week had almost melted. The south wooden deck was also open now (Left side in the photo). We are looking forward to seeing the beautiful view of Happo-ike Pond which reflects the peaks in its surface on the sunny day.

Around the pond, cute alpine flowers welcomed us as well. Happo Usuyukisou is a family of Edelweiss and the original species. There were also Chinguruma, Iwakagami and a few Takanebara here.
