We have had cloudy days typical in the rainy season, but in this morning, we went through the clouds during on Grat Quad and there was the soft sunlight in the trail. Although it was hardly blowing a wind, the temperature did not get high and it was good weather to trek. The trail was not crowded until 9:30 a.m, so I could kept my pace.

Tsumatorisou bloomed the cute white flower beside the wooden path. Happo Usuyukisou which is similar with Edelweiss are also getting bloom everywhere. Yukiwarisou and Miyamaazumagiku in the upper part were in its peak.

The clouds gathered fast, but we could see the peaks of mountains of Hakuba slightly from Cairn No.3. In Happo-ike Pond, the ice was thawing greatly and there were big cracks. The photo spots in the west and east side of the pond were already available without any snow, but the south wooden deck was still covered with snow.

It was getting foggy at around 9:30 a.m. around Happo-ike Pond. I met a group of people from Hakuba and they posed me. Now, it is “Villager Free Lift Week” until June 30 (Fri) at Happo Alpen Line and people live in Hakuba and Otari are free of charge to ride the lifts during the period. Besides, people living in Omachi and Itoigawa will be able to use the lifts for free from July 8 (Sat) to July 14 (Fri).

Nikkokisuge also started to put the buds. From July 1 (Sat), “Hakuba Alps Hana Zanmai 2017” will start and Kurobishi Line, Skyline, V Line, Kitaone Kogen (Kitaone Quad) will be open as well. The summer is coming soon to Happo.
