The blue sky spread out in the upper part from Cairn No.2 as the weather forecast said. It was so chilly that I needed even gloves in the clouds, but the sunlight got casting as I climbed up and made us feel hot.

In the east sky, we could see the great sea of clouds. Especially, the best view point was from Cairn No.3. The clouds got thinner and thinner as time passed, but the sea of clouds still remained around 9:30 a.m.

The remained snow had melted away utterly, and Autumn tints had finished in the upper parts over 2,000 meters in elevation. However, the view of mountains, Happo-ike Pond and Autumn sky had a certain beauty. The surface of the pond was rippling by the chilly wind.

On the way to Shimo-no-kanba, we can look down to the valley. The trees passed their peak, but the contrast of red, yellow leaves and white trunks of birch trees was still beautiful! I found many hikers stopping and enjoying the view.

Around Cairn No.2, an environment conservation organization of Happo made restoration of vegetation. At Cairn No.3, an TV drama was shot as well. I met more and more hikers after 10:00 a.m. and the trails got very crowded.
