It was foggy from Kurobishi-daira to the upper part of Grat Quad, but the clear sky spread out over Happo-ike Sanso Hut. I could see the peaks of Mt. Goryu, Mt. Kashimayarigatake and mountains of Hakuba clearly during trekking toward Happo-ike Pond.

As the weather forecast says, it get warmer and warmer from Sep. 25 (Sun). The sunlight was very strong and I got sweaty soon. However, a cool wind was blowing in the upper part from Cairn No.2.

2 girls from Tokyo posed me! They said they would climb Mt. Karamatsu today. We had a fine day and the splendid view of great mountains made us excited!

It was blowing a wind around Happo-ike Pond but the expected beautiful view jumped into my sight. There were many people on the view deck and they took photos of this mirror-like pond.

Though today was a weekday, the first gondola had a long line of hikers. The trail toward Mt. Karamatsu was also crowded and sometimes we needed to wait for a while to pass through narrow paths. In Shimo-no-kanba, maple trees and Ookamenoki changed its color from yellow into red and orange.
