Because it has been very chilly in the mornings and evenings, the upper part of mountains changed its color greatly. Kamaike Marsh (1,680m) also turned into yellow and red already. People stopped and took photos before climbing up by Riesen Quad.

I went through the clouds during on the lifts, but the sky was still covered with thin clouds and the sunlight was blocked off. The trails and rocks were very slippy because of the rain until the last night, so I walked carefully.

People from Wakayama Pref. gave me the watchword, “We always enjoy your reports!” They also said, “We often come and ski in Happo-one. Today, we will climb Mt. Karamatsu!” Fortunately, today was a good day with no wind and the moderate temperature.

The sea of clouds in the east got thicker as time passed. The best view of that today was which I saw halfway between Happo Cairn and Cairn No.3 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. (the photo was taken at 7:50 a.m.) I heard people making whispers with admiration.

The autumn tints around Happo-ike Pond was also getting into the peak season. It will be warmer again in the next week, so we would be able to enjoy this beautiful view until mid-October.
