The 10th typhoon, Lionrock, had passed and we had a cool morning (15 degrees) today. The blue sky was spreading out in the mountain foot, but the peaks of Northern Alps were behind the clouds. Two girls from Tokyo were worried about this cloudy weather.

Around 8:00 a.m. when I came to Happo-ike Sanso Hut, many people were wearing jackets because it was blowing a strong wind without the sunlight. The grass changed its color into more and more yellow along Broadwalk, Alpen Quad Lift and in Kamaike Marsh. It gave signs of Fall with the clear air.

The number of the alpine flowers were decreasing gradually, but the small pink flowers of Miyamamamakona were very cute. While Tamurasou and Iwashobu passed their peak, I found them everywhere.

I could not see the mountains of Hakuba and Kaerazu-no-ken even before 9:00 a.m. After 30 minutes, the thick fog was coming. However, the clouds were blown by the strong wind fast, so we could see the blue sky through the breaks sometimes.

More people started to climb up around 9:30 a.m. I felt more strong wind in the ridge before the birch forest. It was very cool in this morning, so I could enjoy trekking without getting sweaty.
