After Obon Season, we have had cloudy days recently. In this morning, we could see the ridges of mountains in Hakuba and Mt. Goryu after climbing up through the clouds by Grat Quad. Happo became less crowded than the peak season, but the first gondola had a long line. The sunlight was strong and made me feel very hot.

The clouds gathered rapidly because the temperature rose fast. Especially around 8:30 a.m, the overcast sky spread out over our heads. However, it was not gloomy, so we could see the blue sky again in the upper part.

On the way to Happo-ike Pond, Umebachisou and Tamurasou were blooming everywhere. I found the light purple flowers of Nokongiku (photo). Takanematsumushisou made colonies around the pond and many people took photos of them.

From Shakujii Cairn to Cairn No. 2, we could see the clear mountain ridges of Kaerazu-no-ken and Tengu-no-kashira. The comfortable breeze cooled me down.

At 9:00 a.m. when I reached Happo-ike Pond, Kaerazu-no-ken went behind the clouds as well as other mountains which we could see just 15 minutes ago. The sunlight was also blocked off, so I could climbed down comfortably. I met more and more people in the trails from 9:30 a.m.
