At 6:00 a.m, I parked my car in the parking area next to Kurobishi No.3 Pair Lift and started to trek. The blue sky spread over my head, while red Akabanashimotsukesou, yellow Nikkokisuge and Kinkouka, violet Kugaisou and Tateyamautsubogusa, white Miyamatouki (photo) and Toriashishoma are blooming beautifully around my feet.

The clouds came up rapidly, and they began to cover around Happo-ike Pond around 7:30 a.m. Northern Alps had gone behind the clouds soon, but the cool air was very comfortable. (the flower in the photo is Oyamasoba)
[Around Cairn No.3, Happo Nature Trail]
Just 20 minutes ago, at 7:10 a.m, I could see the quiet surface of Happo-ike Pond reflecting the mountains of Hakuba beautifully. The alpine flowers around here were at their best now. Especially, Kugaisou in the northern-west area of the pond started to make violet colonies.

Compered with the rainy season, the view seemed to be more lively and amazing even there were clouds. After that, the clouds blocked off the sunlight sometimes, but I met more and more people climbing up.

Students on school trips were also enjoy trekking and the trails got crowded occasionally. The rainy season has been over in the south parts of Japan on July 18 (Mon.) and it will end around Nagano soon. The peak season has come earlier than the end of the rainy season.
