It was cool in the early morning, but the strong sunlight made me feel hot during waiting for the gondola before its open. As the temperature got higher and higher, the clouds were gathering. The mountain ridge of Northern Alps had gone behind the clouds already when I got on Alpen Quad lift.

The sky became overcast in the upper part, but I met many people including tour groups even in the early time. It was a comfortable weather for trekking with cool temperature and breeze.

Hananigana (photo) and Tegatachidori were blooming around Cairn No.2. Besides, I found Hakusanshakunage, Mushitorisumire, Ibukijakousou and other alpine flowers on the way to Happo Cairn. More and more Nikkokisuge were coming out as well.

Around 9:30 a.m. when I got to Happo-ike Pond, I could see Kaerazu-no-ken, but it was covered with thick clouds soon. Many people climbed up to here at 10:00 a.m. and some of them took a rest and others went to Mt. Karamatsu-dake.

We could see the blue sky typical in the summer season. By the way, the weather forecast says the weather will be worse from tomorrow, but Kurobishi will start the summer operation on July 1 (Fri.) and Kita-one Kogen has been open on June 25 (Sat.).
