The sky was overcast but we could see mountain ridges of Northern Alps in this morning. The sunlight was blocked off and it was breezing, so I did not get hot. Today was a weekday forecast to be “cloudy and rainy” and there were less people than usual.

Some alpine flowers, such as Chinguruma, Watasuge and Iwashimotsuke, were blooming along the wooden trails. I found Yotsubashiogama (Photo) and Nikkokisuge as well, but not much. On the way to Happo-ike from Cairn No.3, Takanebara started to come out.

It became more gloomy around 9:00 a.m. This 4 men from Ibaraki Pref. enjoyed the grand view of Northern Alps. They said they would climb up to Mt. Karamatsu for two days.

The remaining snow on Happo-ike Pond had completely melted away, and the pond reflected the mountains. The amount of water looked to decrease strangely, today.

During climbing down, I could see the small sea of clouds in the southern east sky. After that, the clouds sprang up. Visibility got poor because of the white fogs when I reached to Happo-ike Sanso. It was a cool, but very clammy weather caused by the rain yesterday.
