On June 4 (Sat.), Happo Alpen Line (Gondola, Alpen Quad, Grat Quad) has started the operation in the summer season. Though there were clouds, it was a good day. Many people got into the gondola as soon as it was open at 8:00 a.m. I found no remaining snow until Happo-ike Pond. This area looked like in the summer season already.

The wooden paths in the upper parts are closed in this season usually, but in this year, they have been open. Even here, I hardly walked on the snow. By the way, the toilets near Cairn No. 2 are closed now.

The flowers of the spring season were in the full bloom. I could enjoy many cute highland flowers. The temperature rosed about 20 degrees around the noon, and I felt very hot.

The ice in Happo-ike Pond was thawing, and I could see the emerald blue water through the broken ice. The wooden terrace were covered with snow and the path to that was closed.

“2016 Club Happo Eco-cleanup Mission!” was held in Hakuba Happo-one Ski Area, and there were 170 participants. They cleaned up the lower areas, such as Panorama Course and Riesen Slalom Course. BBQ was also held at Usagidaira Terrace (Over 15 years old: JPY1,000) at 1:00 p.m.
