Tsugaike Kogen / ◎290cm / Partly Sunny2022.Feb.01
Though it has snowed several times since 1/22 (Sat.), the lack of significant new accumulation has led to the base shrinking down to its current depth of 290cm. The early-morning cloud cover above the ski resort slowly melted away, and by the time I got off the morning’s first gondola, blue sky was spreading out directly above me. The few lingering clouds on the Han-no-ki Slope (pictured) made for a beautiful scene.

Conditions were great on the groomed Tsuga-no-mori (pictured) slope and the area alongside the Han-no-ki High Speed Pair, with a well-packed, powder-snow surface! Two skiers greeted me by saying they love our site, then raced down the slope sending up clouds of spray behind them. The second half of the Han-no-ki slope (1st photo) was easy to ski, with a firmly-groomed wet-snow surface.

The full-spec TG PARKS terrain park (pictured) was rebuilt over two days from 1/27 (Thurs.) to 1/28 (Fri.). The park features a total of 25 items, including two massive 8 and 12m kickers aimed at advanced riders! The staff was quick to get everything ready, and the park opened this morning before 9:00.
[Han-no-ki Slope]
The access course running from the Kane-no-naru-oka No. 2 Slope towards Maruyama was freshly groomed to the width of 2 grooming machines, though the remainder of the slope was left untouched. I enjoyed carving fresh tracks into the moderately-firm, pleasant, wet-snow surface on the wide-open Maruyama Slope (pictured)!
