Tsugaike Kogen / ◎245cm / Sunny & Cloudy2021.Mar.16
The blue sky spread in the east sky at 8:30 a.m, but the clouds were coming over the Northern Alps in the west sky. It was blowing south winds continuously. Women from Gifu and Aichi (Photo) talked, “This is our third time to come to Tsugaike. The slopes look to be in good conditions, so we are looking forward to riding!”

Tsuga-no-mori (First Photo) and the slope along Han-no-ki High Speed Pair (Photo) were in fine corn snow conditions. Those slopes were nicely firm and our skis ran well with sharp edging. The lower part of Han-no-ki was melted and wet.

Shirakaba (Photo) was getting busy gradually from 9:00 a.m. The groomed slope of Shirakaba was melted and in corn snow condition. Although the edges went into the snow deeply sometimes, we could ski at high speed on the slope without any dirt.

We felt even hot in the base area where it was blowing just a breeze because of the high temperature and the strong sunlight. The slopes of Karamatsu and Oya-no-hara (Photo) were in wet corn snow condition. The melted snow made our skis slow down, but I thought these soft slopes were good for beginners to practice.
