“Ski shop Vail 2022 NEW MODEL Test-riding Event” is held for 2 days from today in front of the middle station of Gondola. Totally about 35 gears including both skis and snowboards of 3 genres, powdery snow, all mountains and tele-mark skiing models, are available here. The fee is free for pre-bookings and JPY1,000 for application on the day (ID required).

3 people who gave me the greeting, “We always enjoy your reports!”, also talked to me, “We expected the fine weather, but it is snowing this morning. We are coming for this test-riding event to find the new gears to buy in the next season. Although you can ride those gears only in Shirakaba Area, you can swap them anytime (*Limited to 1 time per 1 model, 40 minutes).

In the special course on the south part of Champion, “TSUGAIKE X GAME” was held. I found the participants practicing especially in the beginning wave part (Photo) on the inspection started from 10:00 a.m. The race will be started from 11:00 a.m. and from 2 to 4 people compete their speed at the same time.

The gondola line from the middle to summit station was closed due to the strong wind this morning, so people rushed into Shirakaba Quad which was open at 8:18 a.m. The groomed slopes of Shirakaba (Photo), Maruyama and Champion were hard and in corn snow condition. After that, the wind stopped and totally 12 lifts were open today.
