The weather was very fine and the view of Northern Alps was so beautiful this morning, howver, the strong wind was blowing up the snow on the mountain ridges. Due to this gale, Gondola was closed just after 15 minutes from the open and Tsuga No.2 Pair was also decided to be closed before the scheduled time. Han-no-ki No.3 Quad (Photo) and Han-no-ki High Speed Pair were open as scheduled.

Whole of the groomed slope of Han-no-ki which has a length of 3km was in really good condition and nicely firm! I was impressed by the high speed turns of expert skiers and snowboarders there. The wind got weaker when I skied down to the lower part of Han-no-ki.

3 people who gave me a greeting, “We always check your reports!” also talked, “It is very windy in the upper areas, but we have a good sunny day with good snow today!” Today is the first day of the holidays, so the ski area got busy from the early morning. As of 9:30 a.m, Chuo Parking Area and Champion Parking Area were already full and 80% of No.2 Parking Area was filled with vehicles.

The groomed slopes of lower areas including Maruyama (Third Photo), Shirakaba (Photo), Karamatsu and Oya-no-hara were also nicely firm. By the way, tomorrow will be “Ski Kid’s Day” and children under 13 years old will be free of lift charges. Besides, “Redbull Snow Charge” will be held in the early morning.
