The officially announced amount of the snow in the ski area reached over 300cm deep again thanks to the heavy snowfall from the last night to this morning! However, it was blowing a gale in the upper areas and the gondola line between the middle and summit station was closed temporarily…. 2 people from Otari Village (Photo) talked, “We hope the lower areas get better, because they were in hard corn snow conditions yesterday.”

Maruyama Area (Photo) was nicely soft with the compacted 20cm fresh snow. 3 people from Matsumoto City in Nagano gave us a greeting, “We always check your reports!” Not only Maruyama Area, but also Shirakaba and Oya-no-hara were back in good condition of January again!

Due to the temporary closure of Tsuga-no-mori and Uma-no-se, expert riders rushed into the off-piste areas of Han-no-ki and Champion. In the off-piste area in the middle part of Han-no-ki, the fresh snow was compacted with snow, but its amount reached about 30cm deep. Han-no-ki No.3 Quad started the operation at around 8:30 a.m. and people went up with the lift one after another.
