Although we could see the blue sky through the breaks of clouds from the middle station of Gondola at 9:30 a.m, it was slightly snowing on the upper parts of the ski area. The slope of Maruyama (Photo) was groomed well and in good condition with nicely firm snow! That clean slope enabled us to keep comfortable curving again and again at high speed.

The beginning part of Han-no-ki was nicely soft and the lower part was firm moderately, so the edges of my skis worked very well there. By the way, the snowboard which the snowboarder wearing on the photo is “Hakuba Special”, an epic snowboard designed especially for riding on the tight and narrow lines between trees in Hakuba.

A man gave us a greeting, “I always check your reports! The snow is much more than the last year and it makes me really excited!” Also, a staff of TG PARKS talked, “We are preparing items of the parks in Sawa Course and One Course where are closed temporarily now. Come and play at this park when it is open!”

In Kane-no-naru-oka, only those areas between Kane-no-naru-oka Sky Liner Ⅰ & Ⅱ and along Kane-no-naru-oka Sky Liner Ⅲ (Photo) were groomed. However, this area had still enough wide groomed slopes. so we could enjoy cruising with big turns on the nicely soft flat slopes.
