The strong northerly wind brought heavy snow in the top area. The firm-compacted powdery snow was covered with about 10 cm of soft new snow on Tsuga-no-mori Slope. “We’re checking your reports!”, two skiers coming from Matsumoto city, Nagano prefecture said (pictured). They then skied down the slope making turns.

There was almost no wind in Hannoki Slope. I enjoyed carving turns on the firm-compacted snow, blanked with 10~15 cm of new snow. “We’re checking your reports. We’ve been here for a long time. How long have we been here? haha”, three families coming from Aichi said.

There was five centimeters of new snow on the groomed run of Oyanohara Slope. “The sleigh is somtimes stuck in the snow. I’m getting tired.”, a lady coming with her daughter said. By the way, the western and eastern areas of Chuo Parking Lot got full around 7 am and 10 am, respectively.

The groomed-snow was covered with about 15 cm of new snow on Shirakaba Slope. The run was already a bit rough around 9:30 am because of a lot of ski/snowboard tracks. Shirakaba Slope and Karamatsu Slope will open for night skiing/snowboarding on Saturdays until Feb.27, except for Feb.6, and on Jan.9 (Sun).
