The coldest season of the season with the winter-type barometric arrangement. In the upper part of the ski area, I felt severe cold due to the strong wind that was blown intermittently with snow. Due to the wind, the start of the operation of the second pair lift was delayed, and this morning, people who aimed for powder concentrated along the Han-no-ki No. 3 Quad Lift.

On the non-compressed snow steep slope in the middle of Han-no-ki (photo), light fresh snow was piled up about 20 cm. Occasionally, the bottom of the basement was moderately tight, but a pleasant floating feeling was obtained. In the consolidation area of Han-no-ki, which was soft powdery snow, fresh snow of about 3 cm along the Han-no-ki high-speed pair lift and 5 to 10 cm of fresh snow on the middle and late stages and the swamp and ridge courses.

When the second pair lift started to move around 9 o’clock, soon a lot of spurs were carved on the Umanose course (photo) with fresh snow of 20-30 cm. Two people living in Otari Village said, “I’m always watching! I’m on the Han-no-ki NO3 lift and enjoyed the powder of Umanose, so I will move to the champion slope.”

The snow was steadily falling on the Shirakaba slope where the wind was weak. Although it looked rough with a mixture of ground snow and topped fresh snow, the snow was good and I could slide comfortably without removing the board. By the way, on Feb,8 (Sat) and Feb,9 (Sun), “Haglöfs Snow Days 2020” will be held on a special course at the end of the Shirakaba slope.
