Tsugaike Kogen / ◎ 140cm / Sunny & Cloudy2020.Jan.14
We had snow last night and the night before. The slope was smooth under Tsuga No.2 Pair Line. “42nd Nagano Prefecture Ski Competition Week” is being held at the central part of Tsuga-no-mori Slope between Jan, 14 (Tue) and 19 (Sun). (HIT PARK will open there in the second half of the season.) People involved arrived one after another before the slope opened.
[Tsuga-no-mori Slope]
I was looking forward to the smooth slope (pictured) the most today. There was a powder snowdrift, which was about 30 cm deep. I enjoyed the floating sensation on the firm flat slope. The compacted slope was firm and nice, covered with powder snow.

The compacted powder snow was firm from the top to the bottom in Hannoki Slope. I enjoyed gaining speed on the slope, covered with sufficient snow without bushes. About 20 cm of fresh snow was non-compacted but firm on the middle flat area.

The area along Tsugaike No.1 Pair Lift was firmly compacted and nice. Oyanohara Slope, which was flat and wide, was crowded with beginners. It was sunny in the early morning, however, it gradually got cloudy around 9 a.m.
