Tsugaike Kogen / ◎ 110cm / Sunny & Cloudy2020.Jan.09

20010901_tsugaikeThe rain from the evening of Jan, 7 (Tue) lasted more than a full day.  It changed into snow late last night, and there was about 1 cm of fresh snow at the bottom of the ski area this morning.  The weather recovered and the blue sky began to appear, but due to the strong wind, the gondola (between the Shirakaba station and Summit station) and other lifts that accessed the upper part of the ski resort were halting driving.

20010902_tsugaikeThe non-compacted snow-covered Maruyama slope is a condition in which fresh snow rides on a tight ground.  The turn was able to be repeated smoothly because the roughness was small.  Visitors concentrated on the lower slopes, and the Maruyama slopes were also crowded with foreigners.

20010903_tsugaikeAt the end of the Han-no-ki Slope (photo), there was snow compaction about two pistens wide.  Tight edge bite firmly, and I was able to ride comfortably.  Rindou course from here to the gondola middle station has a little snowfall. But there was no obstacle to slipping.

20010904_tsugaikeNon-compact snow at Oyanohara slope had a flat feeling and was tight and well slid.  There was a place where dirt came out, but there was almost no bush and I could slide with confidence.  After that, at around 10:20 a.m., all of the scheduled lifts except the second pair started to move.
