Tsugaike Kogen / △260cm / Snowy2019.Apr.09

19040901_tsugaikeWe got snow at the upper area last night! Tsugaike No.2 started late at 9:30 am due to the strong northerly wind this morning. The fresh snow on the surface had been blown away and mixed with granular snow, which was well-compacted and nicely firm.
[Tsuga-no-mori Slope]
19040902_tsugaikeThe area along Hannoki High-speed Pair Lift was little affected by the wind, surrounded by trees. The compacted slope was non-granular, covered with plenty of fresh snow. However, my skis sometimes got stuck there compared to Tsuga-no-mori. By the way, a course was being set up on the skiers’ right side for “2019 BANKED SLALOM TGK”, which will be held this weekend on Apr.13 (Sat).
[Hannoki Slope]
19040903_tsugaikeI saw two snowboarders coming from Taiwan. “I enjoy your reports! The slope condition has greatly changed today compared to yesterday, hasn’t it? It’s amazing! I’m snowboarding with him (a man on the left side) today, telling some tips”, a man on the right side said in fluent Japanese. There was 15-20 cm of soft fresh snow on the side of the slope, which was non-compacted.

19040904_tsugaikeThere was about 3-5 cm of fresh snow on Hannoki Slope. The snow got wet and loose as I went down. I sometimes got stuck but the slope was nice without bushes or bare parts.
