It was calm and pleasant morning. The snow condition was recovered dramatically with heavy snowfall and the strong chill of yesterday, and when I walked on snow after I got off the gondola snow sounded nicely under my feet. The view of North Alps was beautiful from the top of the ski area and almost all people were taking pictures before sliding.

Groomed Tsuga-no-mori and Han-no-ki were in nicely firm powder snow condition. The edges were biting snow surface very well and I felt very excited. Many advanced and intermediate riders were sliding down again and again using the gondola, Han-no-ki No.3 Quad and Tuga No.2 Pair.

6 people from Nagoya City, Aichi Pref. said, “We come to Tsugaike often. Uma-no-se was very difficult but the groomed areas were amazing!” Nicely firm Maruyama and Shirakaba were also in powder snow condition and it was very easy to slide there.

The powder snow condition continued even at Oya-no-hara and Karamatsu areas, the bottom of the ski area, this morning. By the way, Mar. 17 (Sun) is “Ski Children’s Day” and 1-day ticket for 6–12 y/o will be free! And also, “Mochitsuki Event” (10 a.m.–) will be held at Kane-no-naru-oka.
