Tsugaike kogen / ◎345cm / Sunny2019.Feb.03

19020301_tsugaikeThe white ridge of Ushiro-Tateyama Renpo were clearly relieved against the blue sky. The temperature was -1℃ at the top as of 8:30 and there was a cold nice west wind blowing gently.
Powder snow was nicely firm on the groomed area of Tsuga-no-mori Slope. I enjoyed making turns as I liked as my skis ran smoothly and the edges cut into the snow well.

19020302_tsugaikeHan-no-ki Slope and Shirakaba Slope were nice too. Run 2 of “SAJ Grade B Official 2019 Tsugauke Junior CUP SG Competition” was being held on the skier’s left side of Shirakaba Slope.
Teammates, coaches and parents were sending cheer to elementary school racers at the starting area and on the sides of the course.

19020303_tsugaikeShirakaba Slope was filled with a serious atmosphere, while Oya-no-hara Slope was peaceful, crowded with families and beginners. The slope was so soft that it did not hurt even if people fell down, and it was in great condition for practice.

19020304_tsugaike“We enjoy your reports! Tsugaike is the best in HAKUBA VALLEY in terms of snow quality and amount. It’s our favorite.”, a couple and their friends coming from Shizuoka Prefecture said. The snow quality was great and the scenery was pretty this morning. It was a perfect day for skiing & snowboarding!
