Tsugaike kogen / ◎350cm / Sunny2019.Feb.01
Clouds were fleeting fast and it was both sunny and cloudy. Small snowflakes were whirling around when I got off Gondola.Fresh snow was driven by the wind and looked like patches on the soft compacted Tsuga-no-mori Slope. My skis ran well and I enjoyed making turns.

The compacted area along Hannoki High-speed Pair was nicely flat and soft, covered with 4-5cm of fresh snow. Then, I found soft powder snow was covered with a thin layer of fresh snow on my way to Gondola Chukan Station (as shown in the photo). It was pretty nice to make turns with speed.

There was about 20cm of fresh snow on the non-compacted area along Hannoki No.3 Quad. The fresh snow was crusted and rough. However, my skis were not stuck and I enjoyed soft powder snow.

“We enjoy your reports! We’ll stay for three days.”, two snowboarders from Hiroshima Prefecture said. Champion Slope and Oyanohara Slope were nicely soft too. I saw beginners having fun at Oyanohara Slope.
