Tsugaike kogen / ◎350cm / Sunny2019.Feb.01

19020101_tsugaikeClouds were fleeting fast and it was both sunny and cloudy. Small snowflakes were whirling around when I got off Gondola.Fresh snow was driven by the wind and looked like patches on the soft compacted Tsuga-no-mori Slope. My skis ran well and I enjoyed making turns.

19020102_tsugaikeThe compacted area along Hannoki High-speed Pair was nicely flat and soft, covered with 4-5cm of fresh snow. Then, I found soft powder snow was covered with a thin layer of fresh snow on my way to Gondola Chukan Station (as shown in the photo). It was pretty nice to make turns with speed.

19020103_tsugaikeThere was about 20cm of fresh snow on the non-compacted area along Hannoki No.3 Quad. The fresh snow was crusted and rough. However, my skis were not stuck and I enjoyed soft powder snow.

19020104_tsugaike“We enjoy your reports! We’ll stay for three days.”, two snowboarders from Hiroshima Prefecture said. Champion Slope and Oyanohara Slope were nicely soft too. I saw beginners having fun at Oyanohara Slope.
