19011001_tsugaikeCeremony was held at SNOW WOW!, which opened on Dec. 22 (Sat), today from 10:30 a.m.. A grand opening event, “SNOW WOW! Challenge”, was also held from 11:45 a.m., with 12 male and female participants. They all started on the snow and dashed off to climb up to the 1st layer of Amidasu.

19011002_tsugaikeParticipants followed the route and tried various items on each layer. It was unstable and I saw some falling on the net. After clearing the 2nd and 3rd layers, they had to take a long drink of Coke. “I had so much fun at WOW!. But it was very hard to drink a whole bottle of Coke actually!”, one of the participants said.

19011003_tsugaikeA man coming from Tokyo won the challenge. A list of gifts, including vouchers, were given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. SNOW WOW! will open until Mar.31 (Sun). Those who are not good at skiing or snowboarding can also enjoy at ski slope, using 10 items including Amidasu.

19011004_tsugaikeThere is “Fire Lounge” at the base of SNOW WOW!, which is in front of Yukinohiroba. Simple dishes, including spit-grilled bacon (500 yen) and big marshmallows S’more (500 yen), are ready to cook with fire. Those who are coming for skiing/snowboarding can use Fire Lounge too.
