Early morning operation has started since Jan.6 (Sun)! We had light snow today, on the first day, however, visibility was clear as there was no wind or fog. Shirakaba Slope, which was lit up, was covered with corduroy patterns and I got excited with the beautiful sight.

Shirakaba Quad and Katamatsu High-Speed Pair started operation on time at 6:30 and many people began skiing/snowboarding. “I enjoy your reports! I usually come with my friends but today I’m coming by myself to enjoy early morning skiing.”, a skier coming from Shizuoka said. I appreciate everyone speaking to me.

Shirakaba Slope was hard and flat, and I enjoyed gaining speed. However, there were some small snowballs appearing after one hour from opening.

Katamatsu Slope was hard and covered by 1-2 cm of fresh snow maybe because it was compacted at an early stage. “We enjoy your reports. We wanted to come in the early morning, but we were a bit late…”, family skiers coming from Toyama said. After a while, it snowed on and off.
