Tsugaike Kogen / ◎320cm / Cloudy & Sunny2018.Mar.23
From night before last to yesterday; the dry snow fell at the top, the wet snow fell at the middle and rained at the bottom of the ski area. And the condition was very different by elevation. The dry snow fell last night too and the slope was non-corn snow condition and nicely firm at Tsuga-no-mori.

The fresh snow and granular snow was mixed at the groomed Han-no-ki. The surface of the slope was melted nicely and I could ski comfortably. As I reached the last half of the area along Han-no-ki High Speed Pair Lift, my visibility became poor because of low-hanging clouds. However, there was no problem with skiing.

As I skied down to the upper part of Shirakaba, I was under the clouds and the started to shine at the lower part of the ski area. A father and son gave me the watchword and said, “My son is started snowboard this season and he is improving quickly.”

Shirakaba was also well-groomed. However, it was melting more and softer than the upper area. There were not many people as it was before the weekend. I enjoyed riding freely on the wide empty slope.
