The light rain in the base area changed into dump snow in the upper area. There was about 20cm deep fresh snow in the off-piste area! “We always enjoy your reports!”, people who stay and work in Hakuba this winter gave me the watchword.
[Han-no-ki]
Tsuga No.2 Pair was late for opening because of removal of snow. The groomed slope along Han-no-ki High Speed Pair was topped with 15cm fresh snow. I could ski down with high speed in the upper part, but suddernly slowed down in the lower part because of the damp snow.
[Han-no-ki]
The snow falling was getting wet as I skied down and finally, it changed into rain in lower Han-no-ki. There was no fresh snow in lower Han-no-ki and Maruyama. Those areas were very quiet this morning till 9:30 a.m.

I saw many experts enjoyed skiing with Han-no-ki No.3 Quad, waiting for Tsuga No.2 Pair. The slope of Kane-no-naru-oka was groomed and nicely melted. There were more people than the other runs, mainly families and beginners.
