I went over the lower clouds during on the gondola. 2 people from Niigata Pref. greeted me this morning, and one of them said, “I always enjoy your reports. I had to take a rest for a long time this winter, because I broke my shoulder at Umanose Course on New Year Season. Now, it is getting better, so I came skiing!”

After that, the clouds came up and it got foggy in Tsuga-no-mori, besides Han-no-ki. We needed ski carefully so that we did not lose our way. However, the condition of snow was good and was nicely firm.

“We always enjoy your reports. The snow is good, but the visibility was poor”, a family from Osaka said to me. When I skied down to the entrance of Han-no-ki HIT PARK, the visibility got better and the slope was nicely firm.

At around 9:10 a.m, it started to snow. In Champion, the 20-meter slope was groomed and firm. It was not hard, so I could ski as I imagined. The off-piste areas on the sides were in difficult condition because there were many icy bumps. Oya-no-hara and Karamatsu were flat and nicely firm.
