I met 6 snowboarders from the same university in Kyoto Pref. and they said, “We have enjoyed riding until today for 3 days in Tsugaike!” After February started, I met more and more students and the parking areas get busy from the early morning.
[Han-no-ki]
It was snowing lightly on the top of the ski resort this morning. The snow stopped soon and the sun started to cast the sunlight, however, it was still very cold as the official temperature showed -15.5 degrees.
[Tsuga-no-mori]
Thanks to the coldness, the condition of the snow is kept awesome! The slopes of Tsuga-no-mori and Han-no-ki were nicely firm and I could make turns as I imagined. The snow in the off-piste areas was dry and light, as well.

“We are members of a volleyball club, not ballet of dancing!”, a group of university students said to me. The snow was not dry perfectly like in the upper parts, but the slope of Kane-no-naru-oka was nicely firm, flat and wide.
