It had been snowing since the day before yesterday till this morning. There was almost no wind, and the gondola was open as scheduled. When I dropped into the ungroomed area in Tsuga-no-mori, over 30cm deep fresh snow welcomed me! Today was a weekday in January, so the slopes were not crowded and I could enjoy the fresh powdery snow even after 9:00 a.m.!

There were 8cm and 6－8cm fresh snow on the groomed slopes of Tsuga-no-mori and Han-no-ki. The runs were nicely soft and the fresh snow was very light, so my skis went down smoothly. By the way, the amount of the fresh snow in the steep slope of Han-no-ki was about 20cm deep.

The good condition of snow kept me happy and I went to Champion after that. The wide groomed slope was nicely soft and covered with 10cm fresh snow.

And in the ungroomed area of Champion…, there was 25cm deep fresh snow!! When I skied into there straightly, I could enjoy the feel of floating. I heard shouts of joy from everywhere today.

*Tsugaike Kogen Ski Resort will start 2017-18 Winter operation from late November, 2017 to May 6, 2018 (Depending on the snow).
