It was snowing lightly while the sky was blue at Shirakaba area as of 10:30 a.m. The slope remained dry even in the sunlight and nicely firm. It was moderately crowded and I enjoyed skiing without worrying about people’s eye on me.

A party of three who came from Yamanashi on a day trip talked to me, saying “Are you a member of Snownavi?” They said, “It is our second time this season coming Tsugaike. It is good practice to ski through Umanose Course because we can experience snow surface in various condition.

Maruyama area was well-groomed and nicely firm. I enjoyed skiing down smoothly and turning comfortably. There were some advanced skiers skiing down at high speed on the southern side of Maruyama No.1 Quad. Meanwhile, there were some snowboarders coming from foreign countries on the northern side.

A bottle invented in the U.S, “Hydro Flask”, is displayed and sold until Jan.14 (Sun) in front of Snow Square. The bottle, which has double wall applying vacuum insulation technology, shows a great hot and cold insulation property. It sustains the cold retaining effect for 24 hours and hot retaining effect for 6 hours. The size varies from 296 ml to 1,900 ml and it costs between 3,500JPY and 8,500JPY (exclusive of tax).
