It was slightly cloudy like yesterday but this morning the clouds were surging from Northern Alps. The operation of gondola was delayed because of mechanical inspection. This father and daughter, from Aichi Pref., came up to the upper area with lift connection. They said that they were surprised by the quantity of snow.

Weak chilly wind was blowing at Tsuga-no-mori. The groomed slopes of Tsuga-no-mori, Han-no-ki, Maruyama and Shirakaba were flat and nicely firm and it was in a great condition.

Champion was also in a good condition. There were many ski tracks but I could make turns comfortably. 3 people from gave me the watchword and said, “We are practicing for Chiba ski technical qualifying competition held on Jan. 20.”

Oya-no-hara and Karamatsu were harmonious atmosphere with beginners and families like this family from Knagawa Pref. By the way, early birds operation will be held at Shirakaba and Karamatsu from 6:30 a.m. tomorrow!
