“Early Morning Operation” has started. At 6:15 a.m. the lifts were made a test run, and then at 6:30 a.m., Karamatsu High-speed Pair (1,200m) and Shirakaba Quad (1,201) started working on time. I didn’t feel cold despite of radiative cooling before dawn. I enjoyed skiing under the lights for night skiing.

“Good morning. I always enjoy your reports!” said the visitor from Akashi city, Hyogo Pref. Thank you for many people who game the watchwords this morning too. I could see the moon above our head, and then the east sky was getting orange with the morning sun.

The slope was completely put in good condition. When I walked there, I felt the powdery snow. Shirakaba has the entire length is 1km, the maximum incline 23 degrees, and the average incline 18 degrees. I saw many advanced people skied & snowboarded fast there. Around 7:00 a.m., the dawn tinted the slope with red. And at almost same time, it got cold.

I enjoyed skiing through the wind, in the dramatic changes of the views, colors and temperature. As of 8:00 a.m., the sky got completely blue and central parking area became almost full. “Early Morning Operation” is available on Jan. 8, Jan. 14, Jan. 21, Jan. 28, Feb. 11 and 12.
