Tsugaike Kogen / ◎185cm /sunny2017.Dec.20

17122001_tsugaikeIt was calm and fine this morning. On the way from Champion ski area to Gondola station, the snow was crunching under my feet. Although the amount of snow that was officially announced was 185cm because it snowed a lot yesterday, it stopped last night and the fresh snow was at a depth of just 10cm at the top of ski area.

17122002_tsugaikeIt was -12 degrees in the early morning because of a radiative cooling. The compacted ski slope was flat, soft and  in the best condition. Some skiers enjoyed making a spray of powdery snow in Han-no-ki ski area.

17122003_tsugaikeThe ski-trails on ski slopes looked beautiful. It was a perfect day for skiing but a turnout was not that early. Although 60 percent of a central parking area was full at 9:30 a.m., there were few people in ski area.

17122004_tsugaikeA family from Aichi talked to me “We always enjoy your repots!” (His child’s wear and skis looked cool!). By the way, Champion will be open this weekend and compactors were working in the middle of the huge slope.
