It was chilly and clear with no wind this morning. A father from Toyama city in Toyama prefecture said to me, “I enjoy your reports every day! I’ve let my two daughters absent from their kindergarten and taken them here because I’m off today.” The daughters looked adorable when they heard that, saying “Oh, don’t you have to go to work today, dad?”

The temperature was -12℃ according to the official announcement. However, the sun had peeped out around 8:30 and I felt warmer. A man from Saitama prefecture, who was the first person to arrive Tsuganomori Slope, said to me, “I enjoyed powder snow yesterday, and today I’m enjoying the compacted snow!”

Tsuganomori Slope was widely well-compacted by pisten. It squeaked as I stepped firmly. Many people skied down at high speed again and again to enjoy the groomed snow.

Some people climbed again by Hannoki No.3 Quad, some headed to Gondola Intermediate Station, and some went to Shirakaba Slope via Rinkan Course, at the middle and lower area of Hannoki Slope. The slope became filled with tracks in a short time, however, it remained in the good condition with snow of high quality. I enjoyed skiing at Karamatsu Slope, which was well-compacted. It was so wide that three piste crawlers could pass through. For your information, Maruyama, Kane-no-naru-okam and Oyanohara will be finally available tomorrow!
