Kane-no-naru Oka, Kane-no-naru Oka No.2, Oyanohara, and Maruyama Slope have been open today. As a result, “all slopes” (=over 80%) have become available! A family coming from Aichi Prefecture gave me the watchword, “we always enjoy your reports.” In Kane-naru, only the area between Sky Liner 1 and 2 was compacted.

Although Kane-no-naru Oka No.2 Slope was “closed” officially, I was able to enjoy the compacted area about 10m wide which led to Maruyama 1st Quad stop. It was warm with the sun shining in the lower area.

Maruyama 1st Quad started working at 8:00 a.m. as Gondola. However, tracks of Piste Crawler remained even at 9:00 because many skiers went to the upper area of the slope. The compacted powder snow was soft and some skiers were saying ‘it’s great!”.

It was snowing from the top area to the middle area of Han-no-ki Slope. A man from Toyama City in Toyama Prefecture and two elementary school students living nearby gave me the watchword, “we usually read your reports!” By the way, tomorrow is a “Ski Kid Day” when a child ticket (a child of elementary school age or younger) will be free. It will be held every 3rd Sunday of the month just as last season.
