We could see the blue sky through the breaks of clouds, however, the weather was changeable and it was slightly raining. It was very warm with the temperature of +6 degrees and I did not need gloves. Although the lifts were late for opening because of the strong wind in Happo and Goryu47, the gondola of Tsugaike was open on schedule.

The slope of Han-no-ki was damp but nicely groomed. My skis ran well, so I could enjoy smooth skiing in spite of the gentle slope. However, as the number of people increased, the slope got rough.

After that, the blue sky spread out and the soft sunlight was cast sometimes, however, the weather did not get better and the rain was still falling. The groomed area of Tsuga-no-mori was also soft and wet. Besides, some parts were a little bumpy because of the piste crawler.

I met a snowboarder from Yamanashi Pref. He said, “I always enjoy your reports! I often visit HAKUBA VALLEY for snowboarding. I thought the slope was hard in this morning, but it was nicely soft.”
