The temperature was -6 degrees and the powdery dry snow was falling with the weak wind when I got off the gondola. The first visitors who came to Tsuga-no-mori were 2 ladies from Kanagawa. They said, “We always enjoy your reports! It’s our first time to be taken picture!” and posed with smile.

The groomed slope of Tsuga-no-mori was firm and covered with about 2cm fresh snow and I could ski comfortably. The snow of Gotenba Course is unlikely to be melted during daytime because the slope is surrounded with forest and covered by sunshade. So the run was nicely firm. I enjoyed the wavy slope and skied down without stopping.

It was foggy at the middle part of Han-no-ki but it didn’t disturb skiing. The run was in good condition with 2 cm fresh snow on. A couple gave me the watchword, “We always enjoy your reports!” and then skied down with beautiful turns.

The slope was groomed entirely at Champion and the fresh snow was about 5 cm. The fresh snow were wetter than the upper parts of ski area, but it was the right combination with the firm foundation. The area was reporter’s most favorite slope in this morning. Around 10:00 a.m. the snowfall became weak and the wind became stronger.
